Security Officer 3rd Shift
Security Officer is responsible for: insuring a safe environment for IHR guests and associates; patrolling; documenting; reporting; and following-up on safety and security hazards or infractions. This individual may also be required to carry out more general guest service tasks, such as delivering items to guests rooms. A Security officer must demonstrate the expertise to remain calm in emergencies, and balance excellent guest and associate relations skills with safety and security.

REQUIRED FUNCTIONS :
1. Patrol all areas of the hotel property including outside parking lots. Note, search for, handle and report any unusual circumstances, safety violations, car theft, destruction and/or suspicious or undesirable persons and escort off property, if necessary.
2. Document a concise security report on a daily log including incidents of theft, accidents and safety violations.

S/he are responsible for: maintaining and promoting hospitality at all times; welcoming and serving guests in a courteous, efficient and friendly manner, both face-to-face and on the phone. As part of this job, this individual is required to: demonstrate good technical skills; accurately handle cash and fees; stand for long periods of time; present a friendly, outgoing, energetic and guest service oriented demeanor.

2. Pre-register, block reservations and take same day reservations and when necessary future reservations following hotel rate structures, discounts, and sell strategies.
