May Day Reunion 2012 FAQ
Event Questions
· Why are we having this reunion? Because Facebook has brought Disney's Lifeguards Recreation together and now we have an opportunity to step from the virtual world to come together at Walt Disney World. Having 30 years' worth of Recreation cast members on Facebook, we gather as a group of individuals to celebrate the good times we had and to rekindle past friendships.
· Who's invited? Former and current Disney Recreation Cast Members who worked in the past or are currently working in Aquatics – Managers, Coordinators, Lifeguards, Slide-Ops, Lake Patrol, Cruise Drivers, Fishing Guides, Marina Personnel, Special Events, Etc. If you worked around the Waterparks, Resorts, Lakes, and Islands near and far…you're invited!
· What locations are included?
o Walt Disney World Resorts: Disney's All-Star Resorts, Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort and Villas, Disney's Art of Animation Resort, Disney's BoardWalk Resort and Villas, Disney's Caribbean Resort, Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, Disney's Fort Wilderness and Campground, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort, Disney's Old Key West Resort, Disney's Port Orleans Resort, Disney's Polynesian Resort, Disney's Pop Century Resort, Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort, Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort and Villas, Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resort

· Who is signed up to come to the event so far? At the end of this website, the attendee list will show who is coming to the event.
· Can I bring my family? Yes, this is a family event. And if you are an individual, you belong to our family – the Disney Recreation family.
· Do I have to go to all the events and is there free time? You may come and go as you please. The events are there for you to catch up with people from the past or the present and have fun. Free time is what you make of it. If you make plans with your family or the group of people or individuals you worked with, all the better.
· Where will we meet each day and when? We have designated "Rallying Points" for Saturday and Sunday for people to meet up. What you do from there is your choice.
· How much should I intend to spend? Depending on your situation, treat this like any other vacation. Plan to spend on the following: transportation (flights, rental vehicles, etc.), hotel stay for the weekend, tickets for the waterpark and/or theme park and/or show, spending money for food and drinks. It will be up to you to plan and coordinate your trip. Trips are always fun, but can be expensive. So, save now to spend later. Our group has buying power and thus we are working with Disney Group Sales and received group discounts on Hotels, Theme Park and Waterpark, and Dining Plans. See below.
· Why do we have to pay for tickets and will we get any discounts? This group is like any other. You have to pay to play. Unless you are a current Cast Member where you can use your ID and/or your Main Gate Pass to get into the theme parks at certain times to use on others, we will have to pay for tickets.
· Who's in charge? The Base-Ops Team is headed up by Tukz Taaca and his assistants are Tami Bright, Janice Thompson, Trinie Ricther, Wayne Dorminey, Tom Pacheco, and Jeremy Roberts. They are your go-to team for the entire weekend. During the weekend, contact info will be available and we will answer any questions you may have.
